Audition Call for Bilingual Actors (English and Chinese)
1. Short+Sweet Singapore 2009: Richard Chua's play Prisoners, by Richard Lord
One Male actor, aged 30 to 40 years of age and a female actor 18 to 27 years of age.
Special Note: We would like to inform all prospective female actors that Prisoners have been rated "R18 Nudity". In Singapore, the word "nudity" in "R18 Nudity" does not allow full frontal nudity. The following is what the organisers have indicated:
The plays have been finished being rated for the festival. Prisoners has been given an "R18 Nudity" rating on the proviso that the nudity is NOT full frontal.
The actress must either:
Wear a nude coloured body stocking and not be facing the audience (ie - her back must be to the audience)
Wearing full brief panties (ie - NOT a g-string), a stick on bra (the flesh coloured stick on cups) and must not be facing the audience (ie - her back once again be facing the audience)
Remain in her underwear (not a g-string - but full briefs) - With this option she can face the audience
2. Little Red Shop also seeks actors to participate in its acting masterclasses. Details will be released soon.

a. 2 Male actors, aged 30 – 40 years of age and 19 – 24 years of age.
2. Nobel Laureate (2000) Gao Xingjian’s The Man Who Questions Death
a. 1 Male actor, aged 25 – 35 years of age. Physically fit for stage movement.
3. Antonin Artaud’s A Jet of Blood, directed by Little Red Shop associate artistic director Yeo Hon Beng
a. An ensemble of male and female roles of varying age.
Little Red Shop seeks actors to participate in its 2 season 08 productions.
Date: 17 and 18 May 2008, Saturday and Sunday
Time: 1400 – 1700 hrs on both days

. 双语（英语／华语）演员甄选活动
一、2008年Short+Sweet华语短剧创作祭－蔡两俊所执导的华语短剧《手提》。这是一出义务演出，不附任何演出费用。
A. 男演员2名，年介30至40岁和19至24岁。他们将饰演一对不寻常的父子。
二、2000年诺贝尔文学奖得主高行健先生力作《叩问死亡》
A. 男演员1名，年介25至35岁，体魄强健，需能发展丰富肢体语言。
三、亚陶《血如喷泉》，由赤店当代剧场协作艺术总监杨宏明执导之剧目。
A. 一个充满张力的群体演员。

Little Red Shop does not have a permanent company of actors, and generally recruits on a project-by-project basis. Actors are cast on their suitability for the content of a planned show. The society holds open auditions all year round. These are advertised on this page and through other channels. Audition notices are also sent to the Little Red Shop email list, which you can join by registering on the front page. Apart from these open auditions, the society is continually on the lookout for performers for future projects. If you would like to be considered, please fill in the form . |
